The Frontiers of Flight Museum is a non-profit educational and historical institution that has been located in the Love Field Main Terminal since 1990. The "History of Aviation Collection" which the museum showcases began as the dream of nothed aviation publisher and personality George Haddaway and was originally located at The University of Texas at Austin. As the collection grew, it moved to the McDermott Library at UTD in Richardson. The larger items of this collection were moved to the present location on the second floor of the Dallas Love Field Terminal's lobby to form the nucleus of the museum. We are the only museum in Texas and the southwest offering the COMPLETE history of aviation, from DaVinci's dreams to the space program. In our 3,600 square feed you can get "up close and personal" with part of our large collection of unique aviation artifcats including an airworthy Sopwith "Pup" biplane from the WWI era (one of only 9 in the world), four aircraft engines (from WWI to jets), nine propellers (from Zeppelins to the B-36 bomber), several hundred models of aircraft of all eras, eight uniforms, hundreds of medals, trophies, and awards, Admiral Byrd's parka, the original pilot's license issued in America (Glenn Curtiss), and artifacts from most of the great dirigibles, including the Hindenburg's china!

The mission of our museum is to preserve the "History of Aviation Collection," honor aviation and aerospace pioneers, develop the museum into a resource of national significance, recognize and promote the contributions of aviation and aerospace to our community, and to create and sponsor exhibits and educational programs suitable for school and public groups. Thousands of area schoolchildren visit our museum for guided school tours every year. The museum is open 10am - 5pm Monday through Saturday and 1pm - 5pm on Sunday. Ample parking for tour buses. Guided tours are available upon request and our admission fees are kept low to assist families: only $2 for adults, and $1 for children under 12. We provide an excellent gift shop with aviation gifts for all ages and interests. We make available a special meeting room, focused on the history of Love Field, suitable for up to 90 people. We host several special events every year including "Focus Nights" on a particular segment of aviation's history, and a yearly Airshow the second weekend in September on Love Field.

The Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh Foundation, formerly The Charles A. Lindbergh Fund, was created in 1977, the 50th anniversary year of Charles Lindbergh's epic New York-to-Paris flight. It was originated by friends of the Lindberghs at The Explorers Club in New York City, with the resulting national effort which established the non-profit organization led by General James H. Doolittle and Astronaut Neil Armstrong.

Since its formation, the mission of the Foundation has been to further a balance between technological advancement and environmental preservation. The changing of the organization's name, which took place in 1994, honors Anne Morrow Lindbergh and recognizes that she and her husband shared the vision of this balance in the devoted partnership they formed in pioneering aviation, exploration, conservation, writing and philosophy.

The Foundation seeks to support present and future generations in working toward such a balance, that we may "...discern nature's essential wisdom and combine it with our scientific knowledge..." (Charles A. Lindbergh) and "balance power over life with reverence for life" (Anne Morrow Lindbergh).

The Foundation pursues its mission through three major program areas:

The presentation of Lindbergh Grants of up to $10,580 (a symbolic amount representing the cost of the "Spirit of St. Louis" in 1927) to individuals whose initiative in a wide spectrum of disciplines offers significant potential to actively further a better balance between technology and the natural environment;

The presentation of the honorary Lindbergh Award to an individual for his or her lifelong contributions toward the Lindberghs' shared vision of balance; and

The sponsoring of educational programs and publications which advance the shared vision of balance of Charles A. and Anne Morrow Lindbergh.

Auburn has been manufacturing ignition products since 1910. The technology has been developed throughout the years with research and development generating improvements to meet and exceed the demands of the harsh environments especially seen in aircraft piston and turbine engines of today.

Pilots worldwide depend on the reliability and performance of Auburn plugs; stunt pilots, pilots of the major airlines ... across the board to just-for-fun pilots count on our experience and dedication to manufacturing quality products.

Auburn aircraft spark plugs, formally known as AC spark plugs, were the plugs Lindbergh used in The Spirit of St. Louis seventy years ago. Since then, Auburn has sponsored many great flights including Friendship Flight '96 when Bill Signs was pilot in command of the first single engine aircraft to fly around the world, landing on each continent.

This year we will have the honor of sparking the Friendship Flight '97, and we look forward to being a part of another Bill Signs success.

McCauley is the world's largest full-line aircraft propeller manufacturer and is a renown specialist in the production of aluminum propellers.

Type certified and supplemental type certified McCauley propellers equip every calss of reciprocating-engine and many turbine-powered aircraft including regional airline, personal, business, agricultural, experimental and military aircraft and kit planes. British Aerospace, Beech, Cessna, Fairchild, Maule, Mooney, Piper and many other aircraft manufacturers specify McCauley propellers as original equipment.

McCauley makes fixed pitch propellers in cruise, climb and standard configurations, constant speed propellers, full feathering propellers and reversing propellers. Its one-piece, oil filled aluminum hub with threadless blade retention provides constant lubrication of internal components resulting in low maintenance requirements. The company also designs deice systems and designs and manufactures governors for all applications. A recent innovation is the BlacMac QZP, or Quiet Zone Propeller. The patented QZP blade design reduces flyover and cabin noise while improving overall performance.

McCauley has close ties to the "birthplace of viation" -- Dayton, Ohio. Company founder Ernest G. McCaulley, earned many patents on controllable propellers while enployed in the 1930s as an aerodynamicist at Wright-Patterson Field. He used captial from the sale of some of those patents to form McCauley Aviation Corporation in 1935. In 1960, Cessna Aircraft Company acquired McCauley, and today it is a division of Cessna, which is a unit of Textron, Inc.

McCauley is located on the east side of Dayton International Airport. Its parts are distributed worldwide through two master distributors, Cessna Service Parts center and Ryder Aviall, and through McCauley authorized service centers and many FBOs.
